India's Under-19 women's cricket team has clinched their second consecutive ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup title, defeating South Africa by nine wickets in the final held in Kuala Lumpur on February 2, 2025.
Opting to bat first, South Africa was restricted to a modest total, thanks to India's disciplined bowling attack. In response, India chased down the target comfortably, with opener Gongadi Trisha leading the charge with a solid 44-run knock.
Throughout the tournament, India showcased exceptional performance, remaining unbeaten in all their matches. Gongadi Trisha emerged as the tournament's leading run-scorer with 309 runs, while Vaishnavi Sharma topped the wicket-takers' list with 17 wickets.
This victory underscores India's dominance in the Under-19 women's cricket arena, marking their second title in as many editions of the tournament.
